ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to investigate empirical correlation between student perceptions of teacher guidance and counseling with guidance and counseling service satisfaction in SMAN 1 Sragi Pekalongan. The subjects were students SMAN 1 Sragi Pekalongan. In this research, data were collected using the scales of student perceptions of teacher guidance and counseling and guidance and counseling service satisfaction. The subjects were selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The results of this research shows the correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0,335 and probability p = 0,000 (p<0, 01) among those parameters which means there is a very significantly positive correlation between them. Students perception of teacher guidance and counseling have contributed effectively to the guidance and counseling service satisfaction of 11,2% and 88,8%, respectively against influenced by other factors or variables, such as service quality, situation, personality, counselor ability, and curriculum.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to verify the relationship of self-regulation and achievement motif to learning habit. Increasing self-regulation and achievement motif can improve the learning habit. Subject of this research was 123 students from Faculty of Civil and Planning Engineering, consist of 41 students from Department of Civil Engineering, 37 students from Department of Architecture, 45 students from Department of Environment Engineering. The measurement of self-regulation scale was self-construction with referred to the Bandura Theory. The achievement motifscale was modified from Rahmalina based on Mehrabian (2001) theory. The learning habit scale was modified from Harjito (1994). The data was analyzed using SPS 2000 (Seri Program Statistik 2000) edited by Sutrisno Hadi and Yuni Pamardiningsih. The result of multiple regression showed that there was positive correlation and significant relationships between self-regulation and achievement motif to the learning habit (R=0.575; p <0.01).

ABSTRACT

This paper presents the view of Freuds pleasure principle and simple-hedonism of human being from psychoanalytic and philosophical perspective. Pleasure is assumed as a role in philosophical consideration of human beings. It is disproportionate to its role in everyday perception which no doubt due to philosophical interest in psychology and ethical hedonism, and also in Freud’s psychoanalysis. The purpose of this work is to elaborate more understanding the actual meaning of Freud’s Pleasure Principle, also, to study its difference with simple hedonism where they are fundamentally pleasure seeking. The conclusion is what1.we understand about pleasure’ in hedonism refers to the ethical philosophy is often confused due to their operating on different levels, on the unconscious and the other on conscious level of human mind.
